Description

The path to going plant-based has obvious upsides, but can also be isolating and difficult. Shouldn’t there be some middle ground for people looking to make a change without totally upending their lives? Leader of the Reducetarian Movement, Brian Kateman explores this issue through the lens of his own personal decision to reduce eating meat. Grappling with how to sort through conflicting advice, Brian seeks a practical path forward.

Love this perspective - it's not an either or but an and that most can embrace.

I certainly connected with the message of this film and will strive to eat less meat as a result. The animations are well done and are super educational. It also has a nice personal touch—My favorite scene was the one with Brian’s parents.

Brian Kateman does a touching, informed and thought-provoking job of alerting us to what we all already knew— that unless we change our behaviors now, we will lose the beauty of the planet we are destroying. A must-see!

A true search for each possible perspective on the meat/factory farming industry and it’s connection with climate change and public health. Also an emotional exploration into how factory farming perpetuates criminal cruelty to animals. I’m sharing this with everyone I know!

Incredible documentary that changed my perspective on plant-based eating. It turns out it's not all or nothing -- and seeing the journey that the filmmaker Brian Kateman went through gives an insightful and fresh perspective that I've not seen anywhere else. Absolutely enlightening.

Through interviews with experts, farmers, activists and everyday people, Meat me Halfway showcases voices from all sides of the issue and takes a compassionate, solution based look at the problems with our current food systems. It is earnest, informative, surprisingly funny at times, and incredibly relevant in an era where we are just beginning to reckon with the manifold effects of climate change.
