Basil Rathbone as Sherlock Holmes and Nigel Bruce as Dr. John Watson appear in this fourth feature based loosely on Conan Doyle's short story "The Adventure of the Dancing Men." More of a spy thriller than mystery, and set during the second World War, the detective and his partner must crack a secret code in order to save the world. Aiding the Nazis is non-other than their nemesis Professor Moriarty.
