A poor background compels Joy to work as a domestic helper in Hong Kong. While she excels in her job and enjoys the company of other household workers, Joy plans to leave the city soon. In her journey to achieve her goals, Joy meets Pinoy bartender Ethan--a sweetheart playboy building a permanent life in Hong Kong. Joy and Ethan soon start a friendship and become each other’s solace against the grime and grind of the city. Even as they encounter problems, their love still deepens despite the impermanence of their situation.
