At first I wasn't sure if I wanted to (or was ready) to jump into a conspiracy movie about the on-going pandemic, but we're living it, so why not. This movie definitely lives in the present and hits you over the head with it but does so in such a way that it is initially relatable. I was expecting a Zoom movie, but yeah, it has that kind of element (called Xing though) is never feels like a video conference. As a viewer, you feel part of the movie, almost in a found footage kind of way. The first third of the movie is character building as we get to know the PR team of a failed cruiseline. Then something happens (no spoiler here) and everyone starts to unravel and go in different directions. Is this a conspiracy movie? Yes and no. Certain characters travel that path and others have different demons. I would love to have seen more about the Church of the 7th Revelation, a secondary storyline that unexpectedly plays into the lives of a few characters. The movie is intense and dark once it crosses into full thriller territory. Actually, that's a pretty amazing task to do given the format. Well-worth the watch. Five star rating is well-deserved.
