  • A Wonderful Surprise!

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie and am so glad I decided to take a chance on it. I now own it! It's an emotional movie, as it should be given the subject. Sometimes I felt so much empathy for the main character that I wanted to skip to the end in order to comfort him. The journey was worth it! The actors, the music, and the scenery all contributed to a powerful and memorable experience. I really can't believe this film wasn't shown in theaters!

I was lucky enough to catch this powerful film at the Good Grain Film Festival where it had top-billing. Whoa! I’m not sure what I expected to see, but I definitely didn’t expect to be moved at such a deep level. To be blunt, this film blew me away! If you’re looking for superficial silliness that characterizes so much of American cinema, look elsewhere. This movie is tough…gut-wrenching at times but always honest. The acting is superb, especially Doornbos, who is so convincing in his journey through despair. The cinematography is beautiful, and though I’ve never ridden a motorcycle, it made me want to buy a Ducati and head out on the PCH. This movie will stick with me for years to come. Amazing!

I can’t even say enough good things about this film. I was fortunate enough to view it at a preview on the big screen. Wow! It stirred up so many emotions as I watched the main character suffer such a devastating loss, and his journey to rediscover who is now. Nathan Wetherington tells an emotional story of how there is still life after tragedy. A must see!

This is truly one of the most powerful and thought-provoking movies I have seen in nearly 28 years of life. I had the opportunity to attend one of the movie screenings in Nashville this past fall, and to say I have been eagerly waiting for it's iTunes debut is an understatement. The public release of this inspiring film is definitely a win for the year 2020...FINALLY.

Grief is a slow, agonizing journey, and the road to healing is different for everyone. “A Thousand Miles Behind” portrays this in a deeply personal and impactful way. It tells one man’s story of tragic loss and shows his heart-wrenching attempt to survive (Jeffrey Doornbos is incredible in this role!). The film is honest & raw—visually simple, yet stunning. I loved it! Definitely worth your time and emotion if you’re willing to engage.

I’ll admit I came into this one expecting to see a cool biker movie. While it did deliver said coolness, I was not prepared for it to be so moving. It was beautifully shot and the acting was actually, incredible. I’d advise potential moviegoers not to assume you know what you’re going to see, like watching someone ride a bike vs trying it for yourself , just go see it yourself. So good.

I saw this wonderful movie at Heartland Film Festival. It grabbed my heart and hasn’t let go! It beckons the viewer to slow down and cherish the things that matter most in life. A beautiful story of love, grief and hope. Definitely not just for bikers!
