Budweiser documentary about the dedication of it’s brewmasters in their quest to win the annual “Budweiser brewmaster cup” . Nice to see all levels of the Brewing giant from behind the scene. Sean Mullin has the skills to capture truth and emotions. If it doesn’t make you love Budweiser it will make you at least appreciate its legacy, quality and the people behind the beer, laughing included (beer is fun right?) and their passion to brew the perfect american lager. There’s no tentative to debate big vs small, craft vs non craft. This is about Bud. Respect.

This was great! An honest, endearing, and very authentic tale of making America's beer. Love seeing the people's stories behind the big grand operation. It's a fun one.
  • Pathetic excuse for a documentary.

I love docs but this is a SCAM. The contest is who can brew the best Budweiser lager, NOT any lager just the best Budweiser. Its ridiculous. This is is truly a 90 min ad for AB who is getting KILLED by the local microbreweries. Just another reason for me to hate bud.

Film grabs you right away by delving into the characters (brewmasters) who come from surpringly diverse backgrounds from around the world. Once the hooks are in, the film takes a deep dive into a fascinating, behind the scenes competition surrounding a subject we can all get behind -- beer. If you're not thristy before this film, you'll be craving a brew ten minutes in. It's a fun ride and a high recommend.

For those few reviews saying this was just another commercial for Bud... they are very wrong. If it wasn’t for Budweiser the craft beers we know today wouldn’t have been born. To see the standard of quality this giant company holds themselves to every single batch they produce is remarkable. Loved it.
  • An 80 minute ad for Budweiser.

This is a documentary about Budweiser’s quality control system. Nothing more. If you’re interested in watching people from different Budweiser breweries try and make the exact same fizzy water then this is the doc for you. If you want to see any level of expression or creativity in the beer making process, look elsewhere.
  • Beer inspired story

I can’t wait for someone to look at me like they’re better than me when I order a Bud and I drop this knowledge on them. What an amazing story!

I really enjoyed Kings of Beer and highly recommend it! Love the characters - especially the women - Natalie, Summer, and Jane. I found myself laughing out loud many times - much funnier than you would expect a documentary to be. The film keeps your attention even as it traverses the world and covers a tremendous amount of story. It's incredibly well made, beautifully shot and tightly edited. And the music and graphics are fantastic - the theme music is super catchy, I heard it in pop into my head after watching, in a good way. I honestly wasn't really a beer drinker or aficionado at all before watching this, but learning about the process, all the attention to detail and expertise that goes into it, gives me a new appreciation for lager and the people who make it. I could avoid making the obvious comparison that the film is effervescent, fast, and clean like a good glass of cold American lager, but I can't possibly allow someone else to get credit for that most astute observation. One last thing - watch out for sharks! Cheers!
