Thanks to the producers of this film for putting the spotlight on the terrible practices that Yelp inflicts on small business owners. I have known well from first hand experience many of the shady practices that Yelp uses to try and force business to advertise, but I was not aware that even the advertising that Yelp pushes was garbage impressions. I hope that Yelp is forced to change its operating mode as a result of individuals viewing this documentary. Too many hard working small business owners and their staff’s have been affected negatively long enough, it needs to change. Please share this film with anyone you know who has trusted Yelp. The truth needs to be told!

Yelp is how I get most of my business in my company, but Yelp is corrupt. My competitors game the system with fake reviews, and get away with it since they advertise more than us. But nobody can really do anything about it so I just deal with it. This documentary finally gives small business owners a voice. Thank you.

This movie is an excellent educational experience. Billion Dollar Bully is a true portrayal of how vague business policy can lead to nefarious behavior by corporations. The film shows how money can influence a business setting and legislators. The filmmakers produced a great film worth sharing and a five star review. Yelp is still integrated into iOS Maps and hopefully Apple distances itself from companies like this in the future.

CONSUMER ALERT! Yelp is a SCAM. Along with numerous other small businesses, Yelp has extorted and continues to harasses our family business. We have proof, but how can a small business fight against a large multinational corporation? We’ve joined others in donating funds to help support the Billion Dollar Bully documentary in a fight against Yelp - the Billion Dollar Bully. Thank you, Kaylie Milliken with Prost Productions for creating this film. You hit the nail on the head with this documentary. You touched on every point that was important and what we experienced. Through this video, consumers will fully understand what is truly happening behind the scenes. Yelp is not in the business of providing consumers with honest representations of the places they visit. That’s simply not how Yelp makes their money. Yelp is in the sales business. They make their money selling advertising to business owners. The practices Yelp uses to sell advertising to those business is extortion. Plain and simple. I’ve lived it. I myself was once a Yelp reviewer. I too was completely unaware of their questionable business tactics until I experienced it first hand. I was angry after learning Yelp wasn’t looking out for my best interest as a consumer. They are looking out for their own pockets. If you use Yelp to make informed decisions on which businesses to frequent, you must watch this video.

A large corporation shouldn’t have such power over a small business owner...it’s time to change the laws so that opportunists such as Jeremy Stoppelman (CEO of Yelp) and others like him, dont game the laws for their gain.
  • So accurate and phenomenal
