As good a movie as I’ve ever seen. Highly recommend to anybody who loves art, music, history, suspenseful thrillers or love stories. Essentially a biography of one of the great artist of our times, Gerhardt Richter.

An observant man of few words negotiates and rejects the dogma of others in pursuit of his own truth. He finds it, follows it, and intuitively discovers secrets and joys others don't even seek. I only noticed time pass when the movie seemed to start over and I thought, "Where is this going?" Hold on. It connects and there iis a payoff.

I loved this movie. It’s a great mix of history and art. It’s over 3 hours long but it doesn’t feel that long when watching.

Yes, it does need to have a point to it. The cinematography is very good. Acting is very good. But it's a movie, not a documentary. Just an honest opinion from someone not trying to impress everyone whom I will never meet.
