The Harrowing

We have seen the trailer and can’t wait to see the entire film. My husband went to a screening in Dallas, and he said it was a suspenseful thriller! Looking forward to adding to our collection.

Saw this at a preview in Houston. Full of twists, the cast does an exceptional job with a fast paced story of a police detective who’s got more questions than answers. The final scene (no spoilers, don’t worry) is full of some mind-blowing visuals - it really delivered! Well done - the Harrowing lives up to its name!

This production spared no expense, and did not cut corners to bring writer/director Jon Keeyes vision to the screen. Strong special effects and makeup combined with solid acting performances from Matthew Tompkins, Micheal Ironsides, Arnold Vosloo, and Hayden Tweedie, made for a most enjoyable albeit suspenseful movie going experience!

Writer and director, Jon Keyees, crafts a paranormal thriller with a touch of horror that will keep you guessing from the opening scene. Matthew Tompkins plays Detective Calhoun with driven A-type-action-hero intensity but masterfully pairs it with the seething emotional scars of a cop who has seen one too many grizzly crime scenes. An A-Plus performance! Michael Ironside and Arnold Vosloo add star swagger, which further anchors the mind-twists into a movie that is its own niche in the horror-thriller genre. Other performances by an outstanding ensemble, including Morgana Shaw, Hayden Tweedle, Arianne Martin, Damon Carney, Tom Zembrod, Trey Wapole are perfectly portrayed to keep reality and mystery synchronized to Calhoun’s realizations. The editing, imagery and score are other notables in this movie’s many many enjoyable elements. Happy to recommend this one.

LOVED It!! Matthew Tompkins IS Det Ryan Calhoun from start to beyond finish. Absolute mastery of his craft in owning all the truth and authenticity of the horrors that he faces. SEE IT! Matthew and Jon Keeyes have really cooked up something special with The Harrowing.

Can’t wait to see this movie. I’m ordering early. Great cast!

Great stuff from these guys! Love the crossover feel...is it a psychological suspense movie, or a horror movie? Yes! High quality and really good character development. You may get freaked out watching this, but I promise you won’t be sorry!

This movie had me in suspense. Well put together and great cast!!
