You could do better. Keep looking. It's slow and not that interesting at any point along the journey.

If find that you don’t allow yourself to connect with characters in the first portion of the movie, you will be unable to appreciate their “their rebirth”. The acting of the two stars was perfection. Not only individually but also their embracing one another. The Director created an environment that was believable and authentic.

What a fascinating peek into another world - and a true one - where real people in their mundane lives experiencing extraordinary things. The juxtaposition of the a sad little reality and audacious circumstances is great. The catharsis is real. The acting by its two lead characters exceptional.

McCarthy and Grant have a great thing going--partners in bitter hilarity. McCarthy really sells the why of her descent into criminality but you slide on down with her: is her crime worse for lying to a friend or defrauding the public when they're getting what they really want? Ultimately, Israel was cheating herself, as she learns in this bittersweet comedy about finding your real muse, and true friendship.
  • I guess it is good if you like to be sad and depressed

The trailer (and rotten tomatoes) leads the viewer to believe that this film is filled with witty, smart banter between two veterans of cinema and thereby creating that rare chemistry film lovers crave. Well, keep looking, because this film disappoints in every way. The story is boring and sad. It’s just not interesting and there is zero chemistry. Not sure why it got such good ratings....Wait, I know why! The liberals love this kind of stuff. Save your money!
