Description

After recently unveiling her new sculptural exhibit on Irish urban legends, artist Melanie Thomas is contacted by Father Alistair Burke, a reclusive Irish priest who, legend has it, once painted the portrait of a young girl who later disappeared on the very day her image vanished from the painting. Now, summoned by Burke and his creepy cohort to the Irish countryside for a special art commission, Melanie eagerly accepts the offer, never stopping to consider that some urban legends might be true.

Wasn’t as good as I thought it would be. It wasn’t scary one bit. I was not impressed. It was a waste of my time and money
  • Just ok

Not too bad. Worth a watch, but not for $7
  • Ugh. A boring, plodding waste of time.

Like the reviewer said above it really tries to put on this mysterious aire but fails miserably. I thought the acting was pretty bad from the lead and the preist was so so. I am not sure what you are supposed to take away from this film. It kind of tries to do the ending to Martyrs (* this movie is nothing like Martyrs so please do not misconstrue that statement. There is no violence or gore or anything that might be considered hard core). Just skip it and save your money and wait for it to show up on Netflix.
  • I don't think I've ever given a movie 1 star before..

..but this movie deserved it. I can't decide if i'm more irritated that I wasted $6.99 to rent it, or that I wasted an hour and half watching it. There are no redeeming qualities in this movie. Such a dissappointement. I don't even know what they were going for. It seems like it was really trying to be mysterious, maybe even deep, at some points. But it was neither. Boo.
