Wow! I was just not prepared for how good this movie was. Peter Tomasi’s script had so much heart. Sam Liu’s direction was kinetic. Numerous homages to the original comic story. It really is the best DCU animated film yet.

THIS IS THE DEATH OF SUPERMAN THAT WE NEEDED! I appreciate the extended cut of Batman vs Superman, but the animated version is a great addition for Superman fans and a different way of telling the story. I also love the over the shoulder shot of Superman punching doomsday. I could be wrong but reminded me of the cinematic version. If it is, it's a great subtle call out to the cinematic version. If not it is still visually awesome and comic book like. The death scene of Superman had be crying. Love . Hope they keep making more Superman animated movies.

They tried this story before it film with Superman doomsday. But they couldn’t do it justice. With this one they brought the true story together I recommend this film for sure

Really disapointed in the direction of DC animated movies. This movie has absolutely no depth and relies on the fact that the audience knows the characters. It shallowly approaches Clark and Lois' relationship with no real growth. Of course she's sad, but that's predictable. Nothing about this movie has nuance from the 2007 version. Don't waste the money to buy it.

The animation and the dialogue are on par with the quality of a 20 year old TV show, I guess that’s to be expected in a “direct to video” animated movie.

I bought this, and regretted. I just wanted to rate it more than explain why, rent it and decide for yourself. I hate it.

Please continue to let Peter Tomasi write for the DC Animated / Live Action films. While I've enjoyed other DC Animated entry this was far superior. There was such care given to all the characters involved. And for the first time in a long time - Superman actually felt like a character - and someone that I actually cared about. The animation was also top notch - I really can't recommend this movie enough. But please WB - you can save the DCEU - just by letting Peter Tomasi write the screenplays - well that and letting Grant Gustin be the Flash :)

These cartoons by DC are always so good!!! I don’t understand why the blockbuster movies always fall short to these cartoon movies. I mean they have the stories and characters. They could of made the Justice League film following the same script as the Justice League cartoon and it would have been way better then the Justice League film. I’m still scratching my head.

I rarely get emotional when watching movies but this one was an exception. One of the best DC movies!

Very good movie I like how it they didn’t make doomsday a pushover and how they weren’t afraid to show violence one of the better dc animated movies
