Description

Jason Momoa takes no prisoners in this intense action-thriller. When Joe (Momoa) and his father (Stephen Lang) arrive at their remote hunting cabin, they’re hoping for a quiet weekend. What they find is a stash of heroin, hidden in the cabin by drug traffickers. When the criminals suddenly descend upon the cabin, Joe and his father must make a kill-or-be-killed stand for survival.

Seriously, this movie may have been semi-digestible if they got someone who at least took an intro to acting class in college.

We purchased because we like Jason Mamoa and it received 75% from Rotten Tomatoes. I'm not sure what those 75% were watching, but this is the first movie I regretted purchasing; even at $9.99. The movie started OK, and sets up a good storyline; bad guy trys to take out good guy, and good guy fights back; triumphantly. But the story unraveled pretty quickly into a sea of implausibility and confusion. . We were laughing near the end at how ridiculous it had become. The ending, not surprisingly, was abrupt and disappointing. This is a sequel we won't be waiting for, although I'm sure its in the works. I can see it now; Braven 2: You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet...But Don't Get Your Hopes Up.

Worst directing and acting. Movie made no sense. The plot was ok but the actual story line was bewildering. I regret watching it.

Some people are so picky lol. JUST LEARN TO ENJOY THINGS. I wasn’t expecting much from this movie, but I was pleased with the movie after watching it. Yeah sure, there wasn’t many places they went besides the cabin and the woods basically, but it was still interesting. Suspenseful and kept you on your toes. The acting in my opinion was very good, which to me is important in regards to the quality of a movie. I liked it and I’d probably watch it again.

Horribly predictable; a tired cliche without an ounce of redemption. Even at the rate of .99c for movie of the week, it was disappointing.

They paint this movie as some throwback to Under Siege, or Cliffhanger, but this movie is nowhere near that. The quality of the writing is actually more in line with Samurai Cop, but not as entertaining. Jason Momoa has great presence, but ZERO noteworthy dialogue. The writing for this movie is bland and boring. I’ve seen better writing in middle-school plays. Besides a couple cool kills, this movie is a dud. If you want a snowy thriller, try Wind River. If you want a throwback pulp film, try Brawl in Cell Block 99.
  • Momoa Will Get Better Material Soon

Jason Momoa is going to be the big action start that Vin Diesel should have been...as soon as he graduates from movies like this. With a screenplay seemingly written by high school sophomores and a director only a little more skilled, this is nothing I need to watch again. Interesting bits here and there but not a keeper.
