Among the chaos of Granny of the Dead - the blood, the gore, the screaming - emerges a vivacious and charismatic set of characters, played by a dedicated and talented young cast. Granny of the Dead is a film that oozes not just blood and brains, but chemistry and flavor. Director and writer Tudley James finds hilarity in absurdity, and the magnetic cast bring to life this magical film. Accompanying the quick witted satire, is a myriad of special effects so convincing it’s hard to remember you’re watching a film. Overall, Granny of the Dead is an amazing addition to the genre, one that blends satire and horror together seamlessly. Granny of the Dead is a horror comedy that will get any thrill seeker frothing at the mouth.

Granny of the Dead is a hysterical take on the typical zombie movie, featuring a zombie plague that only infects the elderly. A group of friends awaken to find that their grannies are out to get them and while some resort to hiding in their rooms, others build up the courage and rack up any weapons they can find to fight the zombies head-on. The way the characters communicate with one another and are oblivious to zombies standing right beside them is hysterical and will leave you yelling at the TV screen, hoping the characters can hear you. The casual, sometimes fearful, other times completely aloof characters make the movie perfect to watch with friends. It’s creepy, it’s gruesome, but it’s also hysterical and a must-see for all types of movie fans.

Granny of the Dead is a great horror film with its share of humor, gory, and suspense. Watching this group of friends fight off their share of elderly zombies and others infected by them is intriguing and keeps you laughing to the end with its situational humor and over the top and creative zombie deaths. This movie has a spoof feel to it that is made great by its self-aware characters and playful banter between the characters. Through the use of shadows and camera angles, a sense of shadowy eeriness is added to the film, enhancing the supernatural feel of the movie. The work of the film crew and editors working on their zombie look and special effects was great and added greatly to the suspense and build up of the film as a whole. I recommend this film to anyone who not only loves horror films but zombie movies. This is one film that gives a great spin to the zombie world through its use of older zombie people.

The latest film from the makers of Sharknado is a great spoof of the zombie genre. Granny of the Dead is about a mysterious force that turns all the elderly into the undead and the youth of the town that has to fight it. The film offers comedy and horror in equal measure with the over-the-top violence typical of zombie films and some laugh out loud gags. There is a really funny scene where two men are hiding in a bathroom when suddenly one of them has to go. I recommend this film to fans of the Scary Movie films and George Romero films. Granny of the Dead is worth watching to anyone looking for some great laughs and interesting deaths.

Granny of the Dead is a horror film that impressed me, someone who absolutely hates the genre. Though the current horror climate is rife with overdone clichés, poor character development and generally underwhelming plot foundations, Granny of the Dead manages to sidestep all of these pitfalls that take many modern flicks. The beauty of Granny of the Dead rests with its prioritization of feel above any other aspect of the film. Make no mistake about this film’s duality of tone – this film embraces the comedy, but brings the gore as well. Every strike from main character Ed’s golf putter is felt, and the sounds eeking from every zombie’s mouth unsettles and frightens to great effect. The movie’s atmosphere remains grim, despite an onslaught of truly hilarious lines and situations that our core group of teenagers find themselves in. From a purely visceral standpoint, the film would be a success, however Granny of the Dead’s script delivers as well, haunting the viewer with excellence in comedic flair. The laughs hit just as hard as the combat in this one, and the premise of the elderly infecting the world is a playground well explored by the writers and director. All told, Granny of the Dead makes the most of its world by providing a feel by which the viewer experiences the script. A major success in every genre it takes on, I can only recommend Granny of the Dead for a perspective clever and witty audience.

Granny of the Dead is the new must see scary movie to watch with your friends! A thrilling and suspenseful film following a group of friends trying to survive a zombie attack in their town. Packed with action and jump cut footage that keeps you at the edge of your seat as you watch each member of the friend group as they fight off the zombies in strange and dark situations. This front row and visceral experience is executive produced by the director of Sharknado that will have you screaming and laughing through its entirety. I highly recommend this film for anyone who enjoys horror films with fresh British comedy and surprising turns throughout.

Granny of the Dead is the best comedy-horror film out right now. Full of British humor and tons of suspense, this movie kept me on the edge of my seat the whole way through. Front row footage and action-packed scenes make this a great movie to watch with a group of friends. The film is centered around Ed and the overtake of his town by zombies. Him and his friends battle for their lives and hilarity and horror ensue. If you’ve been looking for a good movie to watch on a stormy night in, this is for you. Creative and satirical, this film reminds me of another classic, Sharknado, one of the best in the genre. An executive producer for this movie actually was the director of Sharknado! So if you love self-aware scary movies, thrillers and dry humor, you’ll love this film.

Imagine your worst fear: waking up one morning to your loving nana trying to kill you!!! That’s the plot of Granny of the Dead, a hilarious thriller following a group of kids trying to survive the zombie apocalypse specifically zombies that are old. Brought to you by the director of Sharknado, this outlandish horror film reminds me not only of Sharknado, but also iconic movies such as Shawn of the Dead and Tucker & Dale vs. Evil. The special effects were amazing and gory and made you believe they were real zombies! The story was fun and terrifying, the pop ups were sure scares, and the twists & turns were original and new! I recommend this fun film for a group of friends who want to be entertained and scared.
