Thought this would be similar to A Good Year. Unfortunately it was a big miss with very boring acting.
  • I love Diane Lane & the scenery is fabulous

Long, boring, and no plot. Diane Lane was great in her role.
  • Diane Lane only redeeming part of a silly story

The story drags and goes nowhere. Scenery was good, wish there’d been more. Bonding moments were weak and calculated. I couldn’t feel any real romance ever blooming. Guess it was mainly about women having options?

This film felt like an exercise in travel bondage. It was neither funny nor charming. It just stood in one place for over an hour, with every romantic cliche being played out in predictable detail. I didn't care about either of the male leads, and the longer Diane Lane stayed with Arnaud Viard's character, the less I liked her too. He was so predatory that any romantic gesture was lost on me. When they finally made it to Paris, I couldn't have cared less.

a wonderful feel good movie with a surprise ending, which includes a tour through France showing the country side, the food and, of course, the wine.....
