I think it’s pretty obvious that calling the creature a “gremlin” was an attempt to capitalize off of the success of the popular eighties film.I understand that gremlins existed in story’s before those movies, but this “gremlin” isn’t at all similar to those that were featured in urban legends. Aside from that, the film has no merit. The plot is basically this: this dude gets a box and he has to give it to someone before the timer runs out and he dies. So out of all the people he could’ve picked to give it to, he gives it to this nice old Lady who seems a little out of it. I have no idea why he would make that choice but whatever, this films low budget garbage so I shouldn’t expect more of it. This lady then gets killed by the titular “gremlin” which is a terrible CGI creature that looks even worse than in the trailer. The only shots where the creature has decent CGI are the ones they used for the trailer. The box keeps getting rediscovered and the plot goes on. I didn’t even finish the film, as it wasn’t worth my time.
