Alienate

I think the director and/or writers were trying to blend sci-fi alien invasion with artful tragic romance. It failed. If you are looking for "horror" or an action alien flick, this is NOT it. The storyline is non-linear and goes all over the place from past to present, but they made it too boring and the scenes were long and ordinary. You never really care enough about the main characters and, frankly, there is very little of the aliens featured. The main lead is trying to make his way back to the city where his wife lives-- to save her life and their troubled marriage. Midway through the movie, I was begging the aliens to just destroy Earth so it could end. However, if you want to watch a movie about tragic love with a small side story of an alien invasion, then this is your Friday night flick.
