I loved this short film because of how relatable, hilarious, and beautiful it is. It also states a very good message that if you always listen to your head you have to avoid everything that can kill you. However before you know it you’re old and then you’ll regret and miss out on great events in your life.

'Inner Workings', the short that preceded the theatrical release of 2016's 'Moana', is so engaging in both story and animation and bursting with such creativity and imagination that it is unfathomable why it was not even nominated for Best Short at this year's Academy Awards. The short follows Paul, our unremarkable yet persevering protagonist, as he muddles through the grind of daily work life, desperate to break free from the chains of his provincial life. I connected instantly with Paul and the notion that our time here is as fun - or miserable - as you make it. Life truly is mind over matter; listen to your brain but follow your heart. ❤️

This short is something special that Disney has created. It is so charming, so hilarious, so beautifully-told and well animated, and it gives us such a powerful message that touched me and connected with me in so many ways with how I choose to live life. The fact that this gem of a short got snubbed in the Oscars is one of the biggest mistakes I've seen made in a long time. I've seen Piper, and I can easily say that this one is so much better.
