A beautifully shot horror film with a quiet, unnerving sense, that gives you the feeling you should not be watching it. I have seen it all, I have watched all the extreme cinema the world has to offer. It was quite a pleasent surprise to find a movie so fearless and jawdropping and sad and horrifying and yet beautiful and elegantly acted, directed, shot. In a world of tired cliche laden horror films, this one stands sooo far apart on its own as if to mimic its poor leads lonelyness. All I can say is BRAVO. If you are a "fan" of extreme cinema such as Marian Dora's Cannibal or more introspective quiet horror films such as The VVitch or artfully crafted out of the box films like Under The Skin. This is a movie for you.

Even at a mere 1 hour and 16 minutes, this movie feels endless. I wish I could unwatch it.

Beautifully filmed...yes. Beautfully acted...yes. Stirring moments...most definitely. A plot to keep you on the edge of your seat or, at the very least, thoroughly engaged...not even close. The Eyes Of Your Mother is an attempt at Heart Of Darkness by a filmmaker who doesn't have the depth. It uses it's black and white filming and European homespun bent to try to entice you to buy it's authenticity, while leaving you wanting....

A disturbing art-house horror flick. A stunning (if imperfect) directorial debut. Not for the faint of heart, even though the more violent scenes are implied offscreen. That's exactly what makes it so memorable. In a genre plagued with disappointment, "Eyes Of My Mother" is an infectious example of what horror should be. "Torture porn" and piece of crap" are simple-minded reviews, obviously.

It's been quite awhile since an arthouse film has blown me away and left me completely speechless, but not anymore. This is currently my pick for numero uno of 2016. This film covers, in the darkest ways possible monophobia, the fear of being alone. Now for those of you who aren't black and white fans I still beg you to sit through it. For those of you who aren't fans of arthouse, sit through it. It's not hard. This film is 100% engaging, traumatic, dark, jaw dropping, and unforgettable. If I could say what this is without spoiling too much, it would be a female take on the story of Ed Gein, who if you don't know was the serial killer who they based the classic films Psycho, Silence Of The Lambs, and Texas Chain Saw Massacre off of.

beautifully filmed. Take in the whole frame, and you cant take your eyes off the lead. She leads each movement so gracefully. a little twisted for some, but i loved it.

I hardly ever write iTunes movie reviews because they make it difficult to do so. But I wanted to write my review of this movie because I felt completely ripped off by the "75%" rating. This is complete crap - this movie is terrible. Moves so slow. So artsy. Not scary at all. I'm not scared by the opening scene as one critic reviewed. This is a terrible film and it's an hour and 16 minutes of my life that I can't get back, thank you Mr. Director. Awful. Piece of crap. Will never watch one of your movies ever again.

It's a great movie. Love it. There's no porn, who ever thinks that is crazy. And this same person wouldn't know art if it didn't have the word Crayola written on it. Just a good psychological black and white movie.
