Description

Two dapper and sophisticated superspies jet to exotic locations, defending the world from evil, chaos and bad taste in the hit spoof on the espionage genre, "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." Now see the film that launched the TV series as the evil agents of W.A.S.P. hatch a diabolical scheme To Trap a Spy. When W.A.S.P. assassinates the leader of a Third World country, suave agent Napoleon Solo (Robert Vaughn--"The Man from U.N.C.L.E.") and equally dashing Illya Kuryakin (David McCallum--"The Man from U.N.C.L.E.") are called by United Network Command for Law and Enforcement--U.N.C.L.E.--to stop W.A.S.P. from overthrowing the government and precipitating a global superpower confrontation. And, somehow, housewife Elaine May Donaldson (Patricia Crowley--"The Closer") finds herself caught in the international intrigue as she helps the two superstylish agents thwart a coup d'etat.

This is not HD. This is just un-remastered. With the release of the recent adaptation the studio could've put money into doing a proper restoration job. I rented it just because I wanted to be sure that it was true HD, but I felt ripped off when I saw that that was not the case at all. I will not fully buy any of the other older films until they get a proper HD restoration. The studio should know better than to use false advertising such as promising Digital HD, more like Digital LD (Low Definition). I could only make it a few minutes into this movie because of how dirty the picture looks.
