Description

Sex, drugs, and...book clubs? High school guidance counselor Jeff (The Mindy Project's Adam Pally) and his co-worker and best friend Anne (Enlightened's Sarah Burns) are anything but cool. Their terminally unhip ways (he's in an all-male book club, she's diagnosed by her doctor as "clinically abstinent") have left them perpetually single. Tired of being alone, they vow to shed their nerdy ways and find love during one wild summer of drinking, partying, and (hopefully) getting lucky. But when you go from dyed-in-the-wool dork to cool and confident overnight, things are bound to go awry... Reid Scott (Veep), Bobby Moynihan (Saturday Night Live), and Kate Flannery (The Office) co-star.

This movie made me laugh with it's comedic one liners and real life situations. Definitely a must see! Btw, Sarah Burns is hot..... I wish this movie would be available for purchase.

I'm a huge Adam Pally fan, but even I was slightly skeptical about whether to rent this or not. "Is it really worth the rent?" Watching the preview I thought I fully understood the premise and didn't need to watch it; but I rented it anyway giving it the benefit of the doubt. It's no academy awarding show, but completely exceeded the expectations I had given it. It's a well done romantic comedy with a good balance of humor and drama and a raw understanding of what love is like for many of us who are socially inept!
  • Didn't have high hopes, turned out great!

Pretty much what the title says. I saw this while browsing, and had my doubts about it being good. It turns out that it was a great movie. Well worth the rental.

Do you miss rom-com's that are sweet but not cloying? Watch this. It's funny and has great actors doing lowkey in a smart way. It's like a sitcom on Hulu or FX, which is a compliment.

It looses it’s way toward the end, but not too badly. But overall this movie is funny as hell. Sarah Burns rocks!

There were a few slow parts, but I enjoyed most of the movie. It was refreshingly original in a mass appeal kind of way, not hipster, like a lot of original movies seem to be lately.
