To those that feel this story, Reese Witherspoon was perfect. Some things only adversity can make clear

Rarely if ever will you come across a film so heavy with life, grief and soul. Good luck making it through this. Reese is well beyond anything she’s ever accomplished in film here. It’s a great story and you’ll inevitably find many parallels of yourself within it. Be prepared for an experience. Excellent work! It’s moving, saddening, terrible and lovely, much like life itself.
  • Very disappointing..

Not a good look for Reese. And why she had to take her clothes off is a mystery...not necessary or wanted!! 👎🏻
  • It’s definitely wild

This movie was surprisingly good, even though it seems like its about a very long hike, but it’s really more than just a hike. I found it amusing that people complained about it being boring because all she did was hike and they didn’t understand why and the point of it all. (lol.) Didn’t they read the description of the movie? Hello! She made many bad decisions in her life and wanted to do something challenging that many of us would never do, and she reflected on her life as she hiked and came across interesting situations along the way.

  • A Very Telling and Interesting Film

This wonderful film seems to be an unconscious alt-film 21st century re-imagining od Deliverance, Portlandia style. It's been said that this film is a driving force behind a great increase of wear and tear on the PCT, not to mention the caravans of moving trucks pouring into Portland on a daily basis. I recommend the following sequence: Wild; Deliverance; Grizzly Man; Drugstore Cowboy. It seems to be the perfect 4-flick combo.
  • Absolutely love it!

I've seen reviews tear this down because it didn't go into the trail enough... this movie is not about the trail or the hike for that matter. It's about Cheryls journey to find herself. She just happened to use the PCT to walk her journey on. Any through hiker must see this, especially if you're a women with some issues to work through...

Pointlessly ploddingly stupid. Reese is a lousy actor, and Dern who I usually enjoy does a crappy job here, too. Wasted my money on this one for sure.
