Description

In 2011, music legend Glen Campbell set out on an unprecedented tour across America. He thought it would last 5 weeks; instead it went for 151 spectacular sold out shows over a triumphant year and a half. What made this tour extraordinary was that Glen had recently been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. He was told to hang up his guitar and prepare for the inevitable. Instead, Glen and his wife went public with his diagnosis and announced that he and his family would set out on a "Goodbye Tour.” The film documents this extraordinary journey as he and his family attempt to navigate the wildly unpredictable nature of Glen’s progressing disease using love, laughter and music as their medicine of choice. Special appearances include Bruce Springsteen, The Edge, Paul McCartney, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, Taylor Swift, Steve Martin and Chad Smith among many others.

I watched this on HLN last night and I cried and laughed through it all... I would watch it again... What a stand up ordinary guy... I'm so happy that he found happiness in his life... His wife Kim and his children were by his side during this very difficult time... Please take the time to watch this documentary it is absolutely worth it... Rest In Peace Glen Campbell ❤️

I have his 8-track tape Album with Amazing Grace on it... the purest performance he ever gave. Vocal was pure. Someone needs to preserve all this. Duet with Tanya Tucker. Good ol days the best. Respect to all.

I borrowed this movie from my local Library. I loved the movie. I was also heartbroken for his family. Glen Campbell was also one of my favorite singers growing up. It breaks my heart that this is happening to him. I also purchased the movie from iTunes. It’s a must have.

Wow, this was so inspiring. Mr. Glen Campbell, such a great man and always will be. You will see the early stages of his Alzheimer's and you will see the later stages. His struggles on how to deal with this awful disease. His family are so loving and caring. I have watched it three or four times now.

Really an amazing story. I grew up listening to his music thanks to my parents playing it all of the time. Very brave of him to put himself out there like this, and hopefully provide a better understanding of this disease.

Even if you don't think you know his music, you will find that you do. And this talented, funny man, and his loving family, will make you feel good about the world. Family is the most important thing!

We got to preview this movie for my job. It was very impactful. It tells the story of music history, family love, and how music can still touch the mind. Everyone should see this movie. Thank you Volunteers of America and Campbell Family!

I was lucky enough to be present at one of the previews of this film that took place at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix on Nov. 5th. This movie invokes laughter, tears, and hopefully a better understanding of the study of this disease and the humanity that Glen and his lovely family bring to this telling. Thank you to the family and friends of Glen Campbell as they so openly share this devastating part of their lives so generously with us.
