  • Worse than the first...

Who are these people giving 4-5 star reviews? The only thing better about this sequel was the video quality/production. As for the stories? Weird and somewhat boring. The first movie had sex, violence and lots of shock value. Most of the segments in this one however just left me unmoved. Letter’s “A” “C” and “V” were the best. Pretty sad when out of 26 segments only 3 stand out.

Although I enjoyed the first ABCs of Death, I have to say that 50% of the segments were hits while 50% were misses. In this sequel, about 90% were hits, which makes The ABCs of Death 2 a huge step up from its predecessor. It’s bloody, insane, and one of the most fun movies I’ve seen in a while. I’m not saying the segments are quality filmmaking, but you can’t really expect much quality in these movies if you wanna have a good time watching them. There are two things that this one seemed to be lacking, though. One is its lack of absurdity; it didn’t seem as wild and disturbing as some of the segments in the first one were (F is for Fart or L is for Libido, anyone?) There were just more rememberable moments in the first movie than in this one. And the second thing lacking from this sequel is the scariness. The first movie wasn’t scary but it definitely had some really creepy moments (B is for Bigfoot). There were just no creepy moments in this one, so it didn’t even seem like a horror movie. But overall, The ABCs of Death 2 is a step up from the first movie and is definitely worth it if you at least enjoyed some of the segments from the first movie.
  • Better than the first in almost every way

The first movie suffered from some shorts that were just poorly executed, bring down the average for the entire movie, yet this one does a much better job of balancing the quality with the quantity. Some of the shorts were outright amazing (A, C, F, J, M, Q, R, S, U,V, X, Y, Z) while the rest range from good to just mediocre, but none were as horrible as some from the first. Overall, a nicely curated and edited film that will keep your attention from start to finish.

Funnier, more consistent, a lot better than the first one. Just good in general - sick, twisted, messed up fun!!
