Description

Academy Award® winner for Best Original Screenplay! From Academy Award®-winning filmmaker Spike Jonze (Being John Malkovich, Adaptation) comes an original love story that explores the evolving nature and risks of intimacy in the modern world. Set in the Los Angeles of the slight future, Her follows Theodore Twombly (Joaquin Phoenix), a complex, soulful man who makes his living writing touching, personal letters for other people. Heartbroken after the end of a long relationship, he becomes intrigued with a new, advanced operating system. Upon initiating it, he is delighted to meet “Samantha” (Scarlett Johansson), a bright, female voice who is insightful, sensitive and surprisingly funny. As her needs and desires grow in tandem with his own, their friendship deepens into an eventual and unconventional love for each other.

Saw this with my parents ... they got up and left during the Phone S#X part... with the cat. Definitely don’t watch this with your family. Or if you do skip THAT part.

Joaquin Phoenix was amazing as the lonley and charamstic theodore and so as Scarlett Johansson as Samatha who was sweet as a computer program that Theodore communicated with in the enitre film. The acting is fantastic and everything felt real and took place in the real city maybe iam taking this well-written romantic film too seriously but still it's hard for me to judge because it's so sad and important to watch instead of watching the Fifty Shades troilgy watch these romantic movies including Her (Shaun of the Dead, Titanic, Scott Pilgrim, Knocked Up, A Star Is Born and Moonlight) i will recommend those movies.

Watch it if your curious, but it was very, very disappointing. Mediocre acting and a poor script overall, imo. Very hard to get into and believe what’s happening, let alone “feel” for these characters. And the end was just ridiculous and lackluster. Can’t believe I was so intrigued to watch this. What a bore.

So touching, so encompassing of everything it is to spend a life with someone and love them and feel every moment vividly because you see them and they see you; it paints this beautiful picture of love and meaning in our lives and it's something really special

An extremely ridiculous attempt to tap into the emotionally disconnected youth of today while piggy backing the quirky, “hipster” upper class that are equally as disconnected as the youth of today. Pure propaganda of “we are all equal no matter what way of life we choose”. Pure garbage of a movie.
