A young girl wants a bike and a father. But in Saudi Arabia, both are hard to get. Not much politics, and only enough religion to forward the plot. Instead, it concentrates on the struggles of daily life in Saudi Arabia as a woman and young girl. Sweet and touching.

Having lived, once upon a long time ago in Kuwaiti society, and observed from a slight distance, Saudi society, I can only say this is a heart warming, endearing beautiful crafted film. The young girl I thought, was outstanding. She captivated me for her tenacity, and humanity. A great film, and for those who have a rather negative view of women behind the veil, I think this has done a great service to a culture largely misunderstood. A gentle, graceful film.
