This is absolute Trash!!!! This is what true Mexicans think? That's puts true Mexicans in the same catagory as Isis!!!!!! TRASH!!!!!!!!!

This is one of the most riveting movies I have ever seen.

One of the best films I’ve ever seen. Superbly shot, directed and edited. An important message about an important cultural and historical event that’s happening in Mexico and its neighbor to the north.

Unable to learn anything from the horrible gang warfare that went on during Prohibition (which ended the moment Prohibition ended) The United States's 30+ year war on drugs now gives birth now to a culture of music they glorifies the hideous violence and simple mindedness of the narco culture. I grew up in an America in which we boys aspired to be like the astronauts headed for the moon, highly talented (low-paid) sports figures, Evel Knievel jumping his motorcycle and extremely creative and interesting musicians like The Beatles Led Zeppelin, YES and Deep Purple. Although I am deeply disturbed by the content of Narco music and the fact that the basic music is so simple that a four-year-old kid could write it; none of this would be happening if it was not for the mentally insane drug war waged by the United States of America.

Until I saw this documentary, I had never heard of the so called “Cultura Narco,” falsely claiming that this music is popular all over Latin America. Other than portray murder and murderers, this documentary only shows that a few embrace a “sub-culture” that accomplishes nothing but misleads those who do not realize the nightmare they live in. Just because Wal-Mart and other chain stores have realized there is money to be made selling narco-music CDs doesn’t mean that the whole United States population is rushing to embrace a music that teaches nothing but, instead, glorifies criminals. Also, English subtitles should be included throughout the documentary because it is practically impossible to understand what most of the people are saying in English.

I’m a old guy that stumbled across this and wanted to see what all the hype was about and what I found was a balanced film showing both sides of the issue and the effect the drugs and money are having on both sides. My hats off to those that filmed this and those that continue to work in what can only be described as a war zone. I was entertained and educated at the same time; a must watch for sure.
