Disney was struggling in the 80s. Don Bluth made some really great animated movies in the 80s that are often overlooked because Disney’s Renaissance came right after. But an American tail, Anastasia, the secret of NIPH, and all dogs go to heaven are great movies. But the land before time is the best one. This is the best dinosaur movie I’ll put it up there with Jurassic Park!!!!! It’s such a heartwarming story. My favorite character is Ducky, yep yep yep!!! RIP Judith Barsi!!!! But watch land before time you won’t regret it

This review has been long overdue. When I was four and a half, my grandmother bought this for us to watch. The overall movie was okay, but there was one part of this so called “movie” that shook my very soul. I don’t recall when this event took place in the movie, but it ruined the whole thing for both me and my grandmother. It was when there was this big wave and it had a evil face and I got really scared so my grandma had to turn off the tv and make believe a story to get me my proper rest. I had several nightmares about this horrid wave, that it had come for me and my family too. It took years of therapy to get that wave out of my mind. But it wouldn’t leave me alone. The wave was everywhere I looked, some cupcakes, bam. The wave. My newborn child, bam. The wave. This wave has ruined my life and now I will ruin its life by leaving a one star review on this website. Good day, unless you are the wave.

OK, first of all, this movie literally broke on DVD and I don’t think I ever saw it again. So my mom put this on repeat none, and when they movie ended after a modest 68 minutes (Thank GOD!) it played some titles, like the DVD Menu it should have just stayed on or played the movie after the DVD Menu for a little, like that literally happens on modern DVDs today. But guess what?! NOPE MORE TITLES THAN DTS LOGO THEN BLACK SCREEN JEEZ! Now for the movie. It’s horrible, cringe, boring, terribly-paced, dumb, for little kids, and, well, a terrible movie. I haven’t seen it in years (Thank God) but it’s terrible now. I didn’t like it as a kid and I know my brother hated it. It’s terrible. Pe-

I got a video tape of this movie for Christmas as a child. I watched it so much the tape broke. It is as great as I remember back then. Littlefoot is as brave as I remember; Petrie and Ducky are as cute; Spike and Cera are still as cool. If you want a movie you can enjoy with your child over and over, I suggest giving The Land Before a Time a try. It is, in my opinion, the fourth greatest films of all time; The Wizard of Oz is the greatest film of all time. Followed by Alice In Wonderland and then Cinderella. Truly a timeless masterpiece.
  • One of my favourites
