If you're a baby-boomer who loves music, this will move you. Informative as well as super-entertaining. Watch with a friend and sing along. The lyrics will come back to you, along with the memories. Loved it!!

This documentary tells the amazing story of the sleepy little Alabama town that revolutionized the sound of rock and R&B music (and continues to have a huge, yet largely unknown, impact on music to this day)!! This is a must see for anyone who likes music and has any interest in where it came from.

Incredible piece of music and human history. A must see to better understand where our music came from and the people who helped create it.

When the rockumentary Sound City hit the market, I watched in awe at how the music I grew up listening to was made and how things in the studio and the studio itself became part of the sound. Muscle Shoals is on a higher plane of existence. The interviews are longer and more varied. The backstory on the Swampers was hilarious… a soulful funky bunch of redneck white boys that bested Detroit’s finest in a small backwoods LA town. I love the music, the story, and everything about this movie.

I throughly enjoyed this documentary and a step back in time. I really had no idea this place existed or the beautiful music to come out of the town.
