Description

Karate Kid, Daniel Larusso, risks losing it all when he places pride before principle in this dramatic film that reunites stars Ralph Macchio and Noriyuki "Pat" Morita. When Daniel (Macchio) decides not to compete in the upcoming karate championship, he becomes the target of vicious Cobra Kai student, Mike Barnes (Sean Kanan), who's determined to win the title back. Standing firm, Daniel's mentorand trainer, Mr. Miyagi (Morita), instructs him to ignore Mike's threats - and stay away from the tournament. But when Mike's relentless abuse escalates into blackmail, Daniel finds himself forced into competition - and at serious odds with Miyagi, the one person he cherishes most. Desperate, Daniel turns to another karate instructor, Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith), whose violent combat techniques are directly opposed to Miyagi's wise instruction. But when Daniel realizes that Terry and Mike are allied with Mr Miyagi's old nemesis, Kreese (Martin Kove), in an elaborate set-up for revenge,he also knows he has alienated the only person who can help him. A riveting story of independence, inner strength and self enlightenment, The Karate Kid, Part III is a powerful new chapter in this popular series of films.

A coworker had recommended I watch karate kid, three and two, so that I could better understand cobra Kai season four where Terry Silver is called back into the fight by John Kreese. Moral at end of the film is that Cheaters never win! Ralph Macchio’s performance deserved a Razzie Award! Throughout the entire film, he acts cocky.

This movie is is split amongst most folks I for 1 love this and it’s a perfect addition/ end to the trilogy It doesn’t get much love but Terry Silverman steals the show Yes the plot may be far fetched but it’s still good

Karate Kid is not a particularly bad movie. I think it just had a few issues that didn’t help it much. First is it’s placement in the series. The first movie had Daniel growing into a promising fighter who wins a tournament. The sequel has him fighting in a fight to the death. Along comes part 3 and him fighting in a tournament again. It felt like a step backwards in the story arch. Had the movie switched places with part two it would have made a more logical raise in stakes as the series went on. The first with his first steps into karate, the second with him questioning his training and the third film him using all he has learned in a fight to the death. The other issue is Ralph Machio’s performance. It felt pretty clear by this point either because of the script, series fatigue or whatever he didn’t want to be in this movie.

Even though it was great to see these two friends once again.. the ending of this movie was very disappointing and honestly I feel like I wasted my time on this one!

This movie is exactly like the first one don’t know why. I just like how Cobra Kai returns. It’s worse than the first two Daniel returns home with Miyagi and krees comes back with revenge. Plus this is the last movie with Daniel so i guess i recommend it

This was better as the second one but what I don’t like is Daniel he’s kind of a bad guy in this one an evil cobra Kai dude but overall I liked it.

Love all Karate Kid movies but they should add Cobra Kai too so we won’t have to pay a month to watch on YouTube Red.
