4:44 Last Day On Earth

From the previous reviews, I expected to not like this very much. However, I was quite drawn to the carefully selected content and the constructed sequence and manner in which it was displayed. Great work. Great reminder of how we do/will not take responsibility for our daily thoughts/words/actions. Do not forget to see the "message" in the gal's artwork. It all should affect you.

Not taking anything from actor Williem Defoe because he is a great actor but this movie had me with anitcipation on exactly how this movie was going to end. Sadly to say it was abig disappointment. iTunes can I have my cost for renting back ? (lol).

This movie will make you want the world to end just so the pain and agony of watching such an awful movie will stop. I would rather have my wisdom teeth pulled with no anesthesia or get mugged on the street than watch this pathetic excuse for a film. If you feel like watching two extremely boring people spend their last minutes on the planet on Skype then this is the movie for you. Dull, boring, lame.

Pretentious and dull. This had great potential and the trailer suggests a lot more depth. The reality was almost no character development, a gratuitous sex scene within the first few minutes and characters that were less likable as the movie went on. I so wanted the world to end a few hours earlier to spare me the misery! This felt like a really pretentious off Broadway play, complete with monologues. It simply fails to hit the mark on every level. I hadn't seen Willem Dafoe in a feature for a long time and this didn't do his talent justice. I followed this movie with "The Hunter" which restore my faith in him and further highlighted with a poor story and terrible direction there is little room for improvement.

I saw this movie because recently I saw two other fantastic works of science fiction: "Melancholia" and "Another Earth." So I thought for sure this could be like that, and instead it's nothing but sopping, nauseating die hard Al Gore propaganda. This could have been such a great movie if it had recognized the fact the whole premise of the movie is ridiculous and then explored what people do wrong when they live in fear. The movie could have been redeemed if it recognized the whole stupidity of itself and used it as an aesop's fable. But it was serious about its stupidity. It was a failure of writing. Go see "Melancholia" or "Another Earth" instead. Don't waste your time on this.

4 minutes and 44 Seconds was more than enough

Knew the ending going in, but after about 10 minutes of this tripe, I was ready for the world to end.

Wow……kept wondering HOW everyone would die, then after about 20 minutes wondered why everyone wouldn't JUST die. Another 3.99 iTunes credit shot to hell.

….but, hey, it's about the end of the Earth, right? One hardly expects lavish musical numbers and fart-jokes, and although I can respect what the director was trying to say; that even faced with civilization's greatest collective, we as individuals remain who we are. Cabbies still drive. Junkies and hookers and Chinese delivery boys keep plugging away at the only lives they know even during the last minutes of existence. And Abel Ferrera is a first rate director. But his end of the Earth is so unflinchingly…..DULL, I am sure that I would have slept through it. Willem Dafoe sleepwalks through his performance tied to one of the most annoying cinema girlfriends in history (although I will admit her last lines are touching). All in all this film is not pleasant, particularly enlightening, or entertaining. 1998's LAST NIGHT (a little seen indie that pops up occasionally on the Sundance Channel) is infinitely more clever in presenting an identical scenario. If it were, truly, the End of The World, I would spend my few precious minutes watching this rather than 4:44.
