On Friday (August 6) I rented this movie for $3.99 on my iPhone. I downloaded it, and was planning to watch it on a long plane ride I had. When I went to watch it, a caption popped up and said “unavailable to play title.” I had not started watching it, and I tried multiple times to watch it, each time the caption popping up. I am very disappointed.

Andrew Lloyd Webber is a musical genius. Phantom is a wonderful production and the emotion in this performance is absolutely amazing and fantastic!

Watched this for free on YouTube as a fundraiser for actors during 2020’s coronavirus quarantine (“The Shows Must Go On”). This is an amazing production that you would not want to miss. It has been decades since I had thought about this musical, yet here we are today, the whole house singing songs from the show for days now. This was an amazing way to share the musical with my 7 year old daughter. If you have any appreciation for this musical, you don’t want to miss this. Includes the Andrew Lloyd Weber tribute on stage immediately following the show, which features several past Phantoms and surprise guest appearances by Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman. This is 25th anniversary production is timeless and excellent, and I suspect this will be the “reference” Phantom for years to come.

Costumes are amazing, lighting is amazing, signing/acting is amazing. The reason there’s a star off is because I feel that some of the queues are jumped (past the point of no return when the phantom screams as the mask is ripped off is done before the music goes all BWAAAAAAMP, same as in Think of Me when the sandbag falls, Meg starts saying “He’s there, the phantom of the opera” too soon). This is a super nit-picky thing and I doubt it bothers anyone else *but it bothers me* I would highly recommend buying though for any musical theatre fanatic.

This performance is absolutely stunning and moving . The set is fantastic, the costumes are absolutely beautiful, the singing captures a variety of emotions at every point, and the acting has such charm to it. I am not one to cry, but this production moved me to tears. I initially rented the movie for a school project, but I was moved to make a purchase of the film after my first watch, and I still watch it over and over again. This story never gets old, and the cast did an amazing job. Not only that, but the post-production bit where Andrew Lloyd Webber himself comes out with some of the original cast members had me emotional. Overall, the production was fantastic and I highly recommend making a purchase.

Seriously, don’t listen to any of the good reviews on this. This is totally trash and the singing is horrible and the acting is waaaaaay over done. Watch and listen to the movie musical version. Seriously!

This very own play of “The Phantom of the Opera is in my opinion, the best one yet! It is great and amazing! Sierra Boggess and Ramin Karimloo are just too good!!!!!!! For true Phantom of the Opera fans, you need to watch the sequel “Love Never Dies”. It is also truly amazing. But The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall was sooooooooooooooooooooooooo good. It nearly brought me to tears at the end! It is a MUST WATCH production! If you haven’t already seen it, then what are you doing, SEE IT!! It’s just that good!!!!!!!
