Description

Based on a true story, Moneyball is a movie for anybody who has ever dreamed of taking on the system. Brad Pitt stars as Billy Beane, the general manager of the Oakland A's and the guy who assembles the team, who has an epiphany: all of baseball's conventional wisdom is wrong. Forced to reinvent his team on a tight budget, Beane will have to outsmart the richer clubs. The onetime jock teams with Ivy League grad Peter Brand (Jonah Hill) in an unlikely partnership, recruiting bargain players that the scouts call flawed, but all of whom have an ability to get on base, score runs, and win games. It's more than baseball, it's a revolution ā€“ one that challenges old school traditions and puts Beane in the crosshairs of those who say he's tearing out the heart and soul of the game.

Iā€™m not a huge baseball fan but watch ping this movie was incredible great! Iā€™m impressed on how GM replace his key players and have lowest salary cap space in leaguer to keep his team on top. It worth to buy it!

Despite being a little bloated, Moneyball is a fantastic entry in sports cinema led by gorgeous direction from Bennett Miller, a witty script from Steven Zaillian and Aaron Sorkin, and unforgettable performances from Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill. Moneyball succeeds not only as a thrilling sports flick, but also as a quiet character study of a man whose own playing career was disastrous, trying to change the game of baseball in order for his own low-market team to succeed and be a good role model for his daughter. 9/10

Haven't been able to watch baseball since I was a kid, just too slow and boring. This beautiful movie not only kept my attention throughout it was a great reminder of what made baseball fun.

This was great movie. The acting was great. It showed a great story and all. It showed the building of a team with low end players that won 20 games in a row. Made the playoffs but is still looking to win a World Series. Just so you know this is a true story. This really did happen and it might be happening today.

In time this movie will be one of the classics. Not only was the movie great but the subject matter is as well. It's about how the game of baseball was changed and the way it will be played for years to come.

This movie moves at a baseball pace, slow & easy. Brad Pitt is great in the part.
