I’d like to write something well thought out but that would even more time wasted. I’ll just say this movie… SUUUCCCKKKED!

I really like older movies of any kind, but as a horror fan, I admit that there are many movies from the past 21 years that I also really enjoyed. Insidious was one of them! I recently bought the first of its sequels on DVD. If you like haunted house movies and ghost stories, these movies are creepy, and they’re helped along by great performances from a talented cast, particularly Lin Shaye as a VERY haunted medium. Enjoy this movie and prepare to be creeped out!
  • Insidious, huh? More like INCREDULOUS

How quickly horror goes down the drain. Josh Lambert (Patrick Wilson) is the one who is frightened, and it is he who must venture into "The Further" to get his son Dalton (Ty Simpkins) back. And yet, the whole film focuses on poor, staggering, sheepish Renai Lambert (Rose Byrne), who has no knowledge of what's creeping her husband out. She doesn't even insist on having Josh share his pain, or that they face their ghoulish neighbors together. Typical mainstream notion: The woman's touch equals higher ratings. [Even when it is not the lady of the house who is the one shaking and shivering.] Plus, the scares and the ghosts are at an unacceptable mininum. Reality check: This is supposed be horror, NOT SOAP OPERATIC DRIBBLE! Don't even bother with those piece-of-[bleep] sequels. This one doesn't deserve a follow-up anyway. I watched this movie tonight on Netflix and I can honestly say that it was the greatest horror movie I have ever seen. Some parts were scarier than others (I’m praying that I will sleep tonight bc I’m still thinking about the movie) but it was so awesome! It’s definitely NOT for younger children who are easily scared.

This horror movie is a special one. Unique compared to your typical horror flick. Nice twist to the end as well
  • Completely disappointed

The lack of originality in this film makes it almost word for word the same as the original Poltergeist. All that was done here is renamed an older film with very minor changes.
