    This is not just a "prequel" to Death Race, it is also partially a mob thriller. I did not have high expectations but upon seeing a few names I was a bit surprised, especially with Sean Bean. I think his role might have upped the quality a bit just with his presence. Its a great origin story for the Death Race though. I think it was smart not to just start it out with the race straight up. Much better to give us a slow build up to the actual death races but still provide plenty of entertainment. I love that we got the origins for Frankenstein, it made me sad though thinking about what would happen to him in the original movie. I liked his character.

    Death Race 2, is without question, one of the worst movies i've ever seen. The dialog between the characters is cliche and unimaginative. The action sequences are boring and hardly live up to that of Death Race. 90% of the actors are South African and that most of the movie is shot in Cape Town, South Africa. Being from Cape Town it wasn't hard for me to notice that the opening car chase takes you you round the same block 3 times and that during the chase, 2 of the cop cars magically disappear. The movie only introduces the concept of "Death Race" 35 min in. Death Race 2 was a totally predictable, boring waste of time.

    The first Death Race was good, but the second seems like a retake on the first with a semi-different storyline. Best watched if you haven't seen the first.

    Theres only one thing to say about this movie.. The title Death Race 2 isn't the correct title! A more appropriate title would be The Born of Death Race!!

    One of the best movies I've seen in a while and one of the best sequels I've seen in a while. The kills in this one are amazing. They added in things like Apache(new driver) jumping into another persons car and killing him. Worth every bit of the 15$
