Description

Jonah Hill and Russell Brand reunite with the director of Forgetting Sarah Marshall in this outrageous comedy about Aaron Green (Hill), an aspiring music executive, who has 72 hours to deliver the wild rock legend, Aldous Snow (Brand), from London to Los Angeles for a comeback concert. In order to keep his job, Aaron must navigate a minefield of mayhem and debauchery to get Snow to the world famous Greek Theatre on time! From the producer of Knocked Up and Superbad comes the movie that’s “a raucous, rowdy good time” (Ty Burr, The Boston Globe).

Aaron Green and his girlfriend have a fight that leaves the status of their relationship questionable. This all happens just as his job requires him to babysit/escort his idol, rockstar Aldos Snow for a couple of days in America. Aldos Snow has a reputation for being uncontrollably wild in the stereotypical hotel-trashing, drug-gorging rockstar way and Aaron Green chases him through various levels of intoxication and mostly uncreative party situations. There's one scene where Aldos stops a woman in a lounge and tells her to sleep with Aaron and she drunkenly readily agrees and **spoiler alert** rapes him with a dildo. Even though he's like 300 lbs and she's tiny, and even though he's already slept with several women just barely after his relationship is over, he calls it rape. Like forty minutes later at the end of the movie, he's back with his girlfriend and she apologizes to him - for what? Get Him to the Greek is another misogynistic, uninspired Van Wilderish party movie that depicts women as stupid and submissive. Additionally, it just wasn't very funny with the exception of Aldos Snow who had occasionally mildly funny moments but not enough to compensate for the four dollars I spent on this crappy movie.
