Description

In this contemporary American adaptation of the 1978 outrageous French farce La Cage Aux Folles, the story centers on the life of a middle-aged, flamboyant gay couple...Armand and Albert...in the eclectic community of South Beach, Florida, who have raised a straight son. The son announces his engagement to the daughter of a right-wing U.S. senator, and wants to bring his fiancee and her ultraconservative parents home to meet his family for the first time. What choice is there but to accept his decision with love! So Armand and Albert must pretend to be very straight by attempting to play out the roles of your typical heterosexual "husband" and "wife"! Easier said than done...

One of my favorite movies of all time, so funny Robin William, Nathan Lane and Hank Azaria are brilliant. Love Hagadorn and his shoes!

Ngl it’s a fun movie, but I can’t help but feel it perpetuates gay stereotypes (this is coming from a gay person btw). I feel bad saying this, cause it’s obviously a good movie and I love Robin Williams, but I can’t get over how much they rely on unrealistic images of lgbt.

I've not seen this since it first came out. The cast is amazing 😉! Robin Williams at his best and Nathan Lane was made for the part with his theatrical experience- for me he steals the show. It's well written and Diane weist and Hackman did an awesome job. I too have seen the French version La Cage and no it's not the same... its better 👍. Anyone who doesn't laugh their butts off either has no sense of humor or are homophobic imho. I'm straight and loved this flick. Worth every cent and full of laughs ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Had this movie been made in the past few years Nathan Lane would have definitely been nominated for the Oscar...absolutely brilliant performance. 79% is too low a rating for this brilliant, hilarious film. Just a superb cast and outstanding acting.
