Love this movie, only thing I dislike is the audio is horrible, loud talking or when music plays in movie the audio cuts in and out fast. Hopefully this is something that will get fixed soon

The Time Machine Review This is one of the greatest combinations of philosophy, science fiction, and history ever made -- really. I remember seeing this movie as a child and having it stick with me. In numerous subsequent viewings it has never disappointed. It's one of those movies one accidentally stumbles across midway on some Saturday afternoon and you have to stop everything to watch it through to its conclusion...for the tenth time. I was lucky to have a brilliant high school history teacher who would constantly reference it for its insights into human nature and human history. Some may be annoyed at the simplicity of its 60's style special effects -- particularly the monster-like Morlocks depicted near the film's end. Like the best Twilight Zone episodes, a suspension of disbelief will leave one more than satisfied. The somewhat cheesy romanticism is enchanting in its simplicity and the Edwardian furniture, clothing, and manners at the beginning are a joy to watch. No one else could have depicted the lead role's misunderstood promethean man of principle as well as Rod Taylor did in this classic. Those who think a film's quality can only be found in the latest special effects will no doubt be disappointed. Romantics with a love of history, philosophy, and the human dilemma will love this film. I should add that the film score is quite beautiful in the style of the great British impressionist composers. Oh yes, I should add that the remake is just a movie. 'Some interesting parts but a very different chain of events and deeply lacking in this film's nostalgic impact.

You know that in the early days movies were meant to be entertaining. This movie is wonderful to watch not only because the actors are good, but because the story is also good, and it's also George Pal doing H.G Wells. Everyone...even kids now a days should just stop....take a break....and watch this.

Some movies are just timeless and this is one of them. N the day I was scared by the morlocks now they are just cool. Some one said classic story telling well I agree. Great pic. I will add it to my collection of movie great like my War of the Worlds original.

This movie came out more than a decade before I was born, but it is one of my all-time fave films! I harvested a great love for the old movies from my father, who was a teenager when he went to watch this for the first time. Truly, they do not make movies or tell stories like this again, and that is a great loss for modern storytellers and movie makers. Cheesy by today's high-techno standards, but nevertheless an awesome film! Why don't they do it like this anymore?

Sorry for the Rocky Horror Picture Show joke. Anyway, this is a great 1950's sci-fi film. It's got a real good story, real good effects for the time, and it's just fun. If you want a fun movie to watch from the 1950's....what are you waiting for? Go get it!
