Warlock

Why do people pan & scan movies that are widescreen originally, in this modern era of digital widescreen TV’s? 5star movie is only 1star as P&S.

Used to love watching these movies as a kid (great childhood right?) Anyway I wish iTunes would include the and one, Warlock: The Armageddon

This movie is a ripoff of Terminator. Just compare the two movies together. Not a bad movie though

I haven't seen this movie In years. This is a really good but dated film. Don't expect Oscar winner material here, this is pure cult classic fun. Take one part time travel movie, one part adventure tale, one part fish out of water story, one part comedy and one part horror and you have Warlock.

I saw this movie for the first time when I was a kid and fell in love with it. I actually got to meet Julian Sands back in May and not only is he an awesome actor but he's incredibly nice in person.

Great Movie but I won't rent or buy in Fullscreen.

This movie is well written, has very good acting, and is overall just a great flick. It's certainly dated, but definitely a cult classic.

You don't need to be a horror fan to enjoy this engaging film. As the other reviewers have mentioned, Julian Sands captures the creepy essence of a genuine witch thrown from the 16th Century into a disbelieving 20th. I would also make mention of the wonderfully rich performance of Richard E. Grant - embodying characteristics and mannerisms of a sixteenth century witch-hunter which I found truthful and genuine. His anger and steadfast focus, and what prompts his singular purpose, really gives his character life in what would've been a run-of-the-mill horror flick without his efforts. Credit goes to both director and writers for including many 'real' tests and beliefs of witches. The curdling of cream, sweating or sick horses, and fires that burn green or blue are all part of the lore of witchcraft. Genuinely creepy stuff when seen on celluloid. Ditto the weapons/protections to fight witches - such as salt, iron shackles/nails, and Holy Baptism for children. Really well researched. OBTW, the name of the devil's book is incorrectly identified by another reviewer - it's called the Grand Grimoire. And unlike the premise of the film, was likely a construct from the late 18th-early 19th century.

Julian Sands rocks in this movie. The special effects are cool; you can learn a lot from movie. The writers did a great job at researching the advantages and disadvantages of witches/warlocks. The movie is about one warlock's quest to undo creation by travelling into the future; into a time where witchcraft has been done away with and any unholy supernatural acts were unspeakable and thought impossible. Richard E. Grant and Lori Singer (sister of Marc Singer: V, Beastmaster) do an excellent job pursuing the warlock. If you know little about supernatural witches/warlocks, you'll soon learn interesting truths to the capture of evil tennants of Satan. Good always prevails and this movies keeps you thinking. Enjoy!
