Description

"Crime is the disease. Meet the cure." First came Rocky, then he was Rambo, and now Sylvester Stallone ("The Specialist," "Cliffhanger," "Tango & Cash") plays his toughest character yet as a police officer dirtier than Harry, who must protect a beautiful witness from a cult of serial killers. Explosive action from the director of "Rambo: First Blood Part II."

This is a classic 80s urban decay - 80s cop movie. But it’s way better than that: it’s a Stallone classic 80s cop vs degenerate satanic criminal movie - with a classic car! Throw in a few great 80s tunes and a love story with an leading lady - doesn’t get any better!

I’ve never had a problem with iTunes movies but the audio on this is delayed for 1-2 seconds throughout the movie making it unwatchable.

  • Not Stallone's Finest Hour...

Sly Stallone was enjoying his peak as an action star in the mid-eighties, what with a couple of Rockys along with the enormously popular Rambo a year before this flick, so I guess he figured he could do no wrong...WRONG lol. This flick, while seemingly marketed as a urban cop version of Rambo, upon closer inspection appears to be a nod to the Dirty Harry movies, considering apperances by Rene Santoni, Andrew Robinson (from the original Dirty Harry) and whoever played that dirty old wench in Sudden Impact lol. Well, this movie does neither Rambo nor Dirty Harry justice...it is a very weak effort on Stallone's part, sorry to say. Just a bunch of shoot 'em up scenes--nothing imaginative--and a clearly weak script. The strongest catch phrase is, "I don't want to be a hero, I just want to get involved." Wow. Not exactly giving "Go ahead, make my day" a run for its money lol! It's kinda fun...the main villain is a pretty scary looking dude...but don't expect a knock-your-balls-off action flick that Rambo was or a classic, gritty drama with tons of personality that the original Dirty Harry flick was...not even close.

I love this movie and rewatch it every year. The serial killer is creepy, the actress is stunning, Stallone is hot, and I think it's a great story. It's the perfect '80s thriller set in LA. People who wrote that this was a bad movie must only like modern fake spider-man movies. If you love '80s movies this one is at the top. So good!

Crime is a disease, met the cure! So reads the movie tag line. Well, this is definitely a case of the cure being worse than disease!

Next to "Rhinestone", this is Sly's worst movie he ever made. It came shortly after Rocky IV where he got to know this movies co-star very well, and even had a fling with her and I guess part of the fling comes thise awful mess of a movie. So full of chiche's and cheesy one liners, it's a joke. Not much of a plot, but Sly gets to have his bedroom scene with Ms Neilsen so I think that was all that mattered in this movie. If I could give it ZERO stars, I would. Whole movie was awful.
