Nothing equals The Birds for sheer terror when Alfred Hitchcock unleashes his foul friends in one of his most shocking and memorable masterpieces. As beautiful blonde Melanie Daniels (Tippi Hedren) rolls into Bodega Bay in pursuit of eligible bachelor Mitch Brenner (Rod Taylor), she is inexplicably attacked by a seagull. Suddenly thousands of birds are flocking into town, preying on schoolchildren and residents in a terrifying series of attacks. Soon Mitch and Melanie are fighting for their lives against a deadly force that can't be explained and can't be stopped in one of Hollywood's most horrific films of nature gone berserk.

Terrible film. Moves at a punishingly slow pace. At first I thought they were just introducing characters & setting things up before the good stuff, but hardly any good stuff appeared during The Birds unnecessary 2 hour runtime. The bird attacks don’t even hold up and I didn’t care about any of the characters. I only liked the one scene at the bar. At least the drunk guy believed something world ending could be happening. Too bad the rest of the film is such an utterly boring waste of time spent watching characters do mundane things & having endless uninteresting conversations like audience members would even care. What was Hitchcock thinking when he made this? Probably too much about Tippi Hedren if the rumors are true. Avoid this film if you value your time!

I was intrigued by this movie and it left me with questions at the end. I did a quick research and found out that this event actually happened in real life. Very well made movie.

Saw this movie years ago. All those birds scared me. Love Alfred Hitchcock movies. Always a good plot. Super good actors. Get a chance watch it.

At least I liked the beginning of the movie before all of the chaos started, with some very good acting, drama & interaction, and even funny comedy. However, when the craziness started, to me it was not so believable and hard to get around, and a bit stressful. Still, very well done and no similar type movie could be perfect and for a mild horror flick accomplished the task of scaring the audience.

This movie was phenomenal, but terrifying! If you like horrifying Thrillers, The Birds is the movie for you. And some people are saying that it wasn't scary; YES IT WAS! Lol. And they're also saying that they're was almost no blood at all....I guess they were hiding thru the whole thing then, because there's quite a bit: the birds keep attacking people!!! Well, go see it for yourself! :)
