In short it's about a man who decides to call his penis "monkeybone" and give it an identity, and personality. He then cartoons it, and for some odd reason some perverts decide it's the perfect comic strip for little kids. This movie was very unfunny, and boring. It's CHALK full of not clever, and not very witty jokes. Sexual references abound, along with some bathroom humor. (The writers obviously don't know the meaning of less is more, or the art of actual sexual innuendo executed tastefully.) There is also very little actual plot (in between the sexual and crass jokes), to interest anyone for 89 minutes. If you want something funny and witty, and plot driven then you'll have better luck watching Desperate Housewives instead.

Love the movie, but it was VERY weird... Gotta love Henry! :-) And Tim Burton didn't even touch this movie.

Guys, get your stuff right, although tim burton's stuff are good, he didn't direct this movie, it tells you who the directors were under DIRECTORS. Even though it's goofy and kinda stupid, it's still hilarious and worth buying.
  • Very nice!

I would like to clarify that Monkeybone was not directed by Tim Burton. Tim Burton didn't have anything to do with this film. Henry Selick is the director. Henry also directed Nightmare Before Christmas. Monkeybone is a visualling stunning piece of movie magic, combinding stop-motion animation with live action. But no movie is complete without a great story. The tale of Monkeybone is filled with fun, terror, and touching moments all roled into one.

I saw this movie when I was so little I could hardly remember. The only thing that I do remember about this movie is that it used to give me nightmares. Why? Well it's a Tim Burton movie. Why else?
