The longer cut of the film flows better, is more intense, and has been in blu-ray for awhile. Hopefully iTunes will provide it.

After a few reviews surfaced on this movie and its premise, I (A huge Evil Dead fan & a fan of similar themed movies) decided to give Cabin Fever a go. I immediately saw director Eli Roth's approach to be a clone of similar horror movies of the genre. The eery start containing vague "woods" footage. The story is about a group of college kids who rent a cabin in the woods and begin to fall victim to a flesh-eating virus after the whole ball is initiated by their rather unintelligent friend Bert. The problem with this movie is however vast. The characterisation is cliche and annoying. You have the sex-crazed couple, the shy couple & the party animal who clearly was born without a brain. Before you even get to half way in the movie, you are already routing for the virus as opposed to the characters. It is sad that movies like this get made. Gone are the clever twists to a story, witty characters, believable scripts & intelligent directing. This is eye candy meets stupidity. Rather stick with Evil Dead or Cabin in the Woods. Alternatively, if you fancy a good viral outbreak movie, go with Outbreak, I Am Legend or Andromeda Strain.

Cabin Fever will always be known as the movie that made Eli Roth famous and it will always be my favorite movie from him. The one thing about the movie I love so much is the tone of the movie at times like when it gets serious and then turns into humor or a funny joke. Overall, this is my favorite movie from Eli Roth and I will always like it. 5/5

This is actually one of my favorite horror movies. It's one of those movies I can watch over and over again and not get sick of it. It's not really that scary but in a way it is because it seems to be realistic like it could acually happen. It's on tv often
