Description

History comes alive in the unforgettable epic motion picture Pearl Harbor, the spectacular blockbuster brought to the screen by Jerry Bruckheimer and Michael Bay. Astounding visual and audio effects put you at the center of the event that changed the world -- that early Sunday morning in paradise when warplanes screamed across the peaceful skies of Pearl Harbor and jolted America into World War II. This real-life tale of catastrophic defeat, heroic victory, and personal courage focuses on the war's devastating impact on two daring young pilots, Ben Affleck (Armageddon) and Josh Hartnet (Black Hawk Down), and a beautiful, dedicated nurse, Kate Beckinsale (Serendipity). Pearl Harbor is extraordinary moviemaking -- a breathtaking reenactment of the "date which will live in infamy" and a heartfelt tribute to the men and women who lived it.

this movie is so so amazing! everything about it is amazing: the storyline, the characters, the history, the music, literally EVERYTHING. it is extremely well-made, you grow to love the characters (my favorite is danny! 😊), and you’re constantly on the edge of your seat, even though you know what’s going to happen since obviously the movie is about pearl harbor day. i highly recommend this movie!

Pearl Harbor has the greatest trailer made. The score, the scenes it shows etc The cast is great, story telling pretty good. As a WW II fan I love the directing, the cast is all star and aside from a little much lovey dovey story it is an excellent movie. What lowers the score for me is 1) Where is the Directors cut? 2) No 4K HDR/Dolby Vision? I would definitely buy the Directors cut when that is released.
  • iTunes & Apple TV Extras and 4K needed

Good movie, especially Ben Affleck being the lead actor; but can you add Special Features and iTunes Extras with extended version as well? This is really annoying to me when the Special Features appear on the Home Video releases of movies, but not on iTunes because technology is advancing everyday.

One of the worst movies I ever saw. I would not recommend this movie to anyone who would like some sort of historic accuracy.

Despite the absolutely incredible 30-40 minute attack sequence in the second act that is sure to awe audiences everywhere, the other 150 minutes of Pearl Harbor are filled with senseless romance, dull direction, a bafflingly atrocious screenplay and wooden performances. 3/10 Personal Notes: This is one of the worst films I’ve ever seen, comparative to budget and quality. No movie with $140 million put into it should be this bad. There’s two blatantly obvious things about why this movie is terrible: Michael Bay was clearly only invested in directing the Pearl Harbor sequence; it’s pretty obvious when you compare how spectacular the bombing scenes are to the rest of the movie. The rest of the movie is so dull and boring. The other blatant aspect is that this movie tried to be the Titanic of war movies. An epic three-hour plus runtime, a romance story with a historical disaster in the background? Yeah, it’s trying to be another Titanic. And it fails, miserably. The ONLY reason this isn’t a one star score is because of the attack sequence. That’s it. That’s the only good part of the movie. Everything else is awful. How in the world does this have so many five-star reviews on here? The movie’s not good! At all! It disrespects the lives lost there and the real heroes of that day by trying to be some corny romance fan fiction of history directed at teenagers. Teen girls who like corny romance and teen boys who only care about explosions and action in movies. Those are the only people who like this movie, people who were teenagers at the time of watching it.
