Saw Day One in the theater. It was okay, but (and this is key) I wasn't prepared for a drama, nor was I in the mood for one. I wanted to see another close-knit family being slowly picked apart by evil forces in the next 1.5 hours, but also with a lovely moral like, "sacrificing one’s life for another is the pinnacle of selfless love". Hey, don't laugh. I believe that stuff! Of course, if one monster is good, dozens or hundreds more are better. Well, maybe not. By the way, if you continually see monster heads with all their airbrakes deployed, hey, did you notice they all sorta look like burnt sunflowers shaking in the wind? The scary half-life of shivering sunflowers is surprisingly short. And come on, the creatures resemble overgrown denuded gibbons. Sure, terrifying if you're personally caught between several sets of gong-sized eardrums, but also kinda cute and reassuring when they're still furry. Like another reviewer wrote, I fell asleep (somewhere in the middle). I do not remember the ending despite waking long, ever so long, before the lights came on. Okay, there was more talking and shouting talk. There was more running, and a hint of another prequel/sequel was placed in front of my face. Day One was a step down from the first two installments but I've been known to change my opinion with a second or third viewing. I'll see this again when iTunes' rental hits $3.99, and from my Barcalounger at home. With Real food and Real drink, and then I’ll likely return with my head held firmly between my knees and rewrite this review. After penance, I’ll take a Real Comfy Nap, Too. On the bright side, if you recognize that you're bored, and that you have the luxury of being bored, then you must be living life right!

I can't believe anyone would like watching this ridiculous movie about a terminally ill woman and her unrealisticly quiet cat deciding the thing to do during an alien invasion is look for pizza. That's literally all this movie was. Clearly the 5 star ratings are from those involved with the movie or people in desperate need of culture. This film was an absolute embarrassment!

This is nothing less than brilliant. Really enjoyed this and despite no Blunt, was super impressed. Wonderfal casting, exceptional effects make this a real gem and awesome addition to the QP franchise.
