Description

Walt Disney Animation Studios’ ENCANTO tells the tale of an extraordinary family, the Madrigals, who live hidden in the mountains of Colombia, in a magical house, in a vibrant town, in a wondrous, charmed place called an Encanto. The magic of the Encanto has blessed every child in the family with a unique gift from super strength to the power to heal—every child except one, Mirabel. But when she discovers that the magic surrounding the Encanto is in danger, Mirabel decides that she, the only ordinary Madrigal, might just be her exceptional family’s last hope. The film features all-new songs by Emmy®, GRAMMY® and Tony Award® winner Lin-Manuel Miranda (“Hamilton,” MOANA) and is directed by Byron Howard (ZOOTOPIA, TANGLED) and Jared Bush (co-director ZOOTOPIA), co-directed by Charise Castro Smith (writer “The Death of Eva Sofia Valdez”) and produced by Clark Spencer and Yvett Merino.

I love this movie soooo much!!!!! I’ve watched it only about 20 million times and always love every second of it. I’ve memorized the whole movie and will quote it whole listening to the soundtrack (which is phenomenal!!!) For those of you who haven’t watched it yet here’s a summary without any spoilers: Mirabel is a 15 year old girl who’s family was blessed with a miracle. Each member of the family has a magical gift...except Mirabel. When Mirabel believes that her family’s miracle is in danger, she finds that it’s up to her to save the magic. Caution: spoilers may come up anywhere beyond this point!! 😉 I absolutely loved this movie it’s my second favorite movie in the whole world (the first is Bambi, say what you want you CANNOT change my mind!!) I love the fact that kids can watch it and understand it and at the same time adults can watch it and enjoy it as well. I remember watching it the day it came out on Disney+ thinking “oh this is just going to be a kid’s show about a girl who goes on this journey to get a super power and it’s going to be the coolest one ever like flying or something.” But no! I was so wrong and I fell in love with it by The Family Madrigal song. Mirabel is such a relatable character because everyone is misunderstood at times and we all know how depressing and horrible it is. So everyone naturally loves Mirabel. My favorite character is Bruno I think he is awesome!!!! I literally cannot get enough of this movie but especially Bruno he’s one of my favorite Disney characters ever!!! I love how Mirabel has such a big family I have a big family and so it was fun to see another one on screen those are RARE you guys!! And I love the songs the songs are literally the best Disney music ever LMM did an amazing job with those!!! My favorite is We Don’t Talk About Bruno (you gotta love it!) Dos Orugitas is amazing to. All of the other songs are amazing too like The Ultimate Vision and The Cracks Emerge they are all great so buy the whole album if you get it :) Btw even though I watched this movie hundreds of times I’m still kinda confused if Mirabel got a gift or not. I’m kinda thinking that she didn’t but she learned to be satisfied with just being herself and not wishing for more and her family learned to appreciate her for who she is and not who she isn’t. I think that would’ve been an amazing way to end the movie and I’m hoping my theory is right but it might not be it might be one of those things where you get to interrupt the ending for your self. Anyway, overall I loved this movie so much I absolutely recommend it. It’s perfect for all ages and a classic for generations. Sorry I wrote so much I just have so much to say about this movie so thanks for sticking it out :) ¡Adios! ❤️ 🕯🦋⌛️❤️

Truly spectacular the relationship between grandma and granddaughter and the sisters of Mirabel. Finally a great movie without this woke nonsense. Finally a great movie that kids of all ages can watch and enjoy being without being bombarded with woke garbage. Thanks Disney for making a movie without trying to influence our little kids with woke rubbish. Soundtrack is also awesome.

It was a kids movie with good lessons. My grand kids have seen it at least 20 times. They loved it. And if they love it I do too.

The movie is good but it needs a deeper and a more free look of the surroundings and it only focuses on Mirabel ( mostly). And just make a sequel

This movie needn't have been made. Everything it does, Coco does better.
  • Rare Pixar dud

Latino family here 👋 Pretty to look at, but too much mediocre musical with very weak storytelling. Even my 3 and 4 year old got bored and meandered off. Sadly, a rare Pixar dud.
