Description

Two couples on an oceanside getaway grow suspicious that the host of their seemingly perfect rental house may be spying on them. Before long, what should have been a celebratory weekend trip turns into something far more sinister, as well-kept secrets are exposed and the four old friends come to see each other in a whole new light. Alison Brie and Dan Stevens star in this unnerving and sophisticated debut thriller from Dave Franco (NEIGHBORS, IF BEALE STREET COULD TALK, THE DISASTER ARTIST).

Don’t listen to the nay sayers. This is a well crafter thriller. A cut above the others. Good acting. I guess that’s why I’m buying it even tho it’s on the IFC app
  • It’s wasn’t too bad

This is not my normal scary movie. But I gave it a try anyway. Simple storyline and easy to follow. Each person that their own personality. Which is good. The story was a little weird with that guy. Then the masked guy shows up. And then you know what happens then or you can guess. I won’t say anymore then that. There are some weird parts but not jump scares. It is a decent I thought.

I would not be giving that host a 5 star rating.
  • A bizarre PSA?

Franco.Franco. Franco. Your are not that great of a story teller. This was easily two different movies squeezed together. The characters were incredibly dumb in spite of their backgrounds. They were not believable.

I don’t know where people are coming up with these terrible reviews—very short attention spans. Though predictable in places, the atmosphere was great, shot wonderfully, and the back half of the movie is very suspenseful. Not everything has to be tide up with a nice little ribbon and spoon fed to you!

The negative reviews are 100% accurate. I figured for .99 cents, why not? Should have just thrown the few cents out the car window ... same effect ... total waste. Completely stupid everything sums this garbage up. Nothing ... and I mean nothing is good in, or about, this pile of junk. You have been warned.

This is a typical “oh my god we accidentally killed some dude” movie. It has a small twist but not enough to make it anything special.

The trailer is a much better option than wasting your time with the movie.
