Description

In celebration of the 40th anniversary of her landmark album Horses, Patti Smith and her band performed the LP in its entirety during a two-night stand at L.A.’s Wiltern Theatre in 2016. This concert film shows the godmother of punk leading her band—including original members Lenny Kaye and Jay Dee Daugherty—through stirring performances of classics like “Gloria” and “Free Money,” along with a revved-up cover of The Who’s “My Generation” with special guest Flea on bass. It's a moving reminder that at 40 years and counting, Smith’s message of freedom is as timely and powerful as it's ever been.

I can't stop watching this really. Immersive & expressive. What a great document of this beautiful artist Jeff0566 - Come on man, Educate yourself in Rock n Roll just a little, open your mind and your ears, listen a few times, try to understand how the band expresses itself. Don't live in such a boring world. Great sounds here. Truly unique and accomplished. Not garbage sir

She just gets better with time. Glad to have more live Patti Smith content to add to my collection.
