You know that moment when you finish watching an Indie Film and you get that feeling inside? That feeling of resolve but in the way you didn’t expect and it makes you feel so close to real life? That’s what this film is. You get to peer into the window of a family who’s ripped apart by tragedy but somehow finds a way to handle what life has thrown at them. A job well done to all who were involved! A job well done indeed. I hope I won’t have to wait too long to see the future work of these artists.

Not the type of dude to watch these kinds of films (I’m a comedy guy), but what the girl wants the girls gets, so we rented it. Truthfully, I’m down for anything, I just don’t head straight for the indie drama…with THAT being said…I was really impressed. So much so, that I’m actually writing a review. No big stars that I know of, other than that bald dude I recognized, but the cast was really good...I’m sure we’ll see a name or two in the future. The thing was beautifully shot as a lot of the reviews have stated, and the music or score or whatever they call it was on point. The gf cried a few times, so there’s that too. Overall, it was worth the time and worth the money.

A heavy storyline, mixed with great arial shots of Indiana and a good soundtrack. If indie films are your thing, put this on your must watch list!

There is something special about this film. It’s got an indie grittiness that you love in movies like Winter’s Bone, but with a light, love and beauty (cinematography is amazing) that you would see in a Terrence Malick film. The story is full of nuance and things you “get” without being told, almost philosophical at times. I read a reviewer called it “Hauntingly poetic”, which is a perfect term for it. But like most good movies, you either really love it or you really don’t. I loved it. The cast is subtle and raw, the music is captivating, the story is complex and subtle (pay attention to the details, some I only picked up on 2nd watch)... and the cinematography is beautiful. The film one a lot of awards on the film festival circuit and for good reason. Bottom line: The movie made me feel different than most. P.S. There is an important scene in the middle of the end credits, so stick around!
