Description

The mastermind behind the Hostel franchise and Cabin Fever, horror auteur Eli Roth, serves up a feast of gut-wrenching terror in the gruesome fear-fest The Green Inferno. Determined to protect the Amazon rainforest, a group of student activists fly to Peru only to crash-land deep in the jungle. Captured by a pack of bloodthirsty cannibals, the survivors suffer unspeakable acts of butchery at the hands of the very tribe they were trying to save. A non-stop barrage of carnage and chills, The Green Inferno is an unhinged blast!

Not sure why this got such low reviews. It's a great throwback slasher film in homage to mondo flicks like Cannibal Holocaust. If you're a fan of gore, you need to watch this one! 5 stars.
  • Good acting and gore!

Star or this movie...Have no idea who she is, but she's totally believable. Plot is bizarre, but fun, weird, and gross! Definitely holds your attention
  • Gory, but doesn't give a scary atmosphere

This was my first Eli Roth movie a d expected it to be fantastic. Turns out it was gory but honestly it wasn't scary. And the plot and atmosphere of the movie didn't make it seem like a horror movie. Gets 3 stars due to how graphic the death scenes are.
  • Unsettling not scary

No jumps, no chills, just an uneasy feeling starting around the 30 minute mark...the ending was such a cheesey sequel set up, that you'll forget how uncomfortable the whole experience was...I didn't hate it, but I'll probably forget about it by next week
